The big feature of this ERTL pull and go tractor is the pull and go function; basically if you pull on the sheep, the tractor will propel forward on its own, before coming to a stop.
Unlike previous toddler tractor set releases, this one does not need batteries but it does have its drawbacks - the pull and go feature can be complicated.
So out of the box a little practice is needed so it doesn't break. All they need to do is pull down the rear gate on the trailer, pull the sheep out then release to watch the tractor go forward.
The tractor is not free-rolling so therefore can't be used as a regular toy tractor without using the pull and go feature.
But there is a nice sheep that stays put in the trailer, and so does the farmer stay sitting in the tractor.

Still a fairly new release, this chunky toddler tractor comes late in the series with this one not needing any batteries. But there's a catch, the tractor will only go forward by using the pull and go function, so does have its drawbacks. In the meantime, it can be used for care and consideration play, as patience will be needed as they figure out the functionality.

John Deere tractor

Pull on the sheep and watch as the tractor automatically propels forward. These are not free rolling wheels so the tractor can't be pushed without using this feature - which is restricting.
Trailer
Wooden effect wagon is towed behind the tractor at all times, meaning they can't detach the trailer from the tractor hitch, so it will always be attached.
The rear gate will fold down and the sheep can slide down it, but its never disconnected from the trailer and in fact, the sheep is always attached to the trailer on a string.
Pull and Go
The pull and go feature allows them to pull the sheep out of the trailer and watch as the tractor goes forward, then watch as the sheep slowly winds back up into the trailer.
At 24 months, a simple sheep to play with without the complicated mechanics of the pull and go feature would be more welcomed, so before you begin understand the function to prevent damaging it.
