Playmobil 9317: Tractor with Trailer

Released in 2018, this addition to the growing Playmobil tractor series is one of the best yet, made to look like modern day tractors, with a playful touch. In releasing this model, they've once again made sure all that is needed, is included in the set; tractor, trailer, front loader, figure and accessories. Now use it as a standalone model, or with a Playmobil farm set.

Playmobil tractor

Familiarity insures with this Playmobil tractor thanks to its modern, yet playful design equipped with the most interesting feature - a functional front loader.

If you're familiar with modern tractors, then you may say this one could be a Deutz or Fendt tractor due to the design and coloring - but now we have it with a fun look and feel.

Its has free rolling wheels with rubberized tires, a rear hitch for towing the trailer, fold up cab roof for adding driving figure behind the wheel.

We go on to explain how to assemble this Playmobil (9317) tractor below but a fun addition is the stickers that do need to be put into place once its built.

Building the tractor

Before there's Playmobil tractor action, first comes the building of the set. But not to worry, the construction of the tractor and trailer requires little pieces, and should be easy enough for a child.

They will start by assembling the green parts that belong to the tractor, with the cab roof, front loader, bucket, wheel bars, tires and rims all need clipping on.

In construction the wheel and tire section, the rims will first need popping into the tires before adding them to the bars - but here you'll need to make sure the tire treads are facing the correct way.

Front Loader

There's no adding the front loader to the tractor here, in fact its already fitted and needs no additional help from you. All you need to do it clip on the pivoting bucket.

At this point the front loader is functional, with the frame work going up and down, and the bucket attachment offering a tipping action for picking up loads - including the hay bales.

The bucket is big enough to pick up bales, and should be lifted up high when in transportation mode with the load on the loader - then move it down to scoop the next load off the ground.

Trailer

To assemble the trailer, tip the trailer chassis upside down and then clip on the wheel bars, then insert the rims into the tires before securing all four wheels to the bars - with the tire tread facing the right way.

All three yellow panels need to be added to the trailer base, before added the clips that help secure the panels tight. Well all three panels are hinged, the trailer can also be tipped up.

What you are left with is a general purpose bright yellow open bed trailer that is used to transport the bales, it sit's on a twin-axle with a wheeled jack when not being towed.

Playmobil Farmer figure

Sweet, playful, cheerful Playmobil farmer are the only words we can use to explain this farming figure, and his job is to drive the tractor.

And as he is a poseable feature, meaning he bends at the waist and arm joints, will allow him to be positioned in the sitting down pose, and therefore secured on the seat behind the steering wheel.

To add him to the driving seat, lift up the driver's cabin roof on a hinge, then simply pop him in place.

Well he's dressed in colorful clothing, don't forget to pop on his baseball cap that secures tightly to his head.

2 Hay Bales

This is not a couple of simple rounded hay bales here, as assembly is required, but you should have all sections clipped together in no time.

In fact, its takes three rounded sections to create one complete bale, and once assembled you should have what looks like 2 big round hay bales for lifting up using the front loader and piling into the trailer.

And that's why these bales exist in the set, they provide more fun to be had with this tractor set as they can be lifted up using the bucket on the front loader, and towed away in the trailer.
